Dr. Subroto Roy founded Stratoserve LLC in 2005 to extend his research, consulting and teaching interests. Subroto is an Associate Professor (with Tenure ) at the University of New Haven. His managerial career, after his M.S. and MBA, spanned over twelve years mostly as Head of Sales and Marketing for the Indian Joint Venture of Tetra Pak Sweden and the National Dairy Development Board of India. Moving to Australia in 1995 Dr. Roy commenced his Ph.D. studies building on his decade long industrial experience in B-to-B and supply chain innovation. Dr. Roy has taught,researched and consulted in Sydney and Singapore before moving to the US.
Subroto’s expertise includes Business-to-business marketing and purchasing, Global Outsourcing, Innovation and Knowledge Management and Information Technology adoption in B-to-B and B-to-C contexts. He has published papers in the Journal of Academy of Marketing Science [Funded by the Institute for Study of Business Markets, Pennsylvania State University ] Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, Industrial Marketing Management, International Journal of Marketing Research, International Journal of Technology Transfer and Commercialization, Supply Chain Management-An International Journal. Subroto is a member of the Industrial Marketing and Purchasing Group of Europe, sits on the Editorial Board of Industrial Marketing Management is 1st Vice President of the Connecticut Association of Purchasing Management (CAPM) and Vice-President-Collegiate Relations at the American Marketing Association, Connecticut. (AMA-CT). He has presented workshops/seminars in the Global Sourcing area at the ISM national conference, Connecticut Association of Purchasing Management and to groups of providers and sourcing companies both in the US and overseas.
